Separate male and female fry into 2 separate tanks at about 4 weeks of age.
Feed fry with newly hatched brine shrimp for faster and healthier growth.
If you are using traps take the guts (v-section, etc.) out of them because the female may get her tal stuck in the v-section and die when she is dropping.
Place plants(small) into your hatchery for the young fry to hide in after birth.
Select your best male and female for breeding together.
If you start to see the female laying large eggs instead of fry it means that you either need an out cross or the male you are using is not fertile.
